(Quote via D.)
I am so lucky to have the sisters I have. We are known for laughing til we pee our pants, reading each others minds, watching and gossiping about the latest "Bachelor" and "The Hills" episodes, calling each other to talk about who knows what for hours, and be there for each other like no one else is. I love my sisters so much and count my blessings everyday that I have the sisters I have. My mom snapped a cute one of Aubrey, D and me today. (Erin and Shay missing.)
This past Monday the fam went fishing to my dad's famous spot at Strawberry Reservoir. I love escaping to the beautiful world that lives beyond S.L. valley. The places where cell phone service doesn't exist and you know God is magical because of the beauty of nature that surrounds you. It was a great time. You may have heard about "the fish." The fish that is pretty much famous by now because it was caught by the one and only world's greatest fisherwoman, my mom. Anyways, D and I opted to sit on the shore with the kiddos and do some good ol' craw-dad fishing. D rocked it to say the least. And the one thing I will never forget from sitting on the bank that night is Cameron. Cameron- who is seriously one of the toughest little boys God ever made- screamed like a little girl after D pulled out the first Craw-Dad. He was probably expecting to see a fish but we all know those ugly little craw-dads look nothing like a fish. He did not know what to do with himself, except scream. D and I were laughing sooo hard because we didn't know that little guy had that scream in him. It was one of those moments where you wish you had a video camera out because we would've won jackpot on America's Funniest Videos. Anyways the screams, the laughs, and the beautiful night continued on. There came a point when the kids were done with the outing, but the men wanted to stay and fish. So my mom, D, and I packed up D's car and the boys went back out on the lake while we proceeded to go home. Earlier D had taken out the backseat in her car so they could fit more equipment in their car. This left room for three carseats and two adults. One problem with this, we had three carseats and three adults. My mom being the protective mother she is said she wouldn't drive home unless everyone was in a seat belt. So D and I sat in the front seat together for the entire two hour ride home. It wasn't too far into the car ride home that we realized we weren't little girls anymore, even though those days of being young and sharing a bedroom together seem just like yesterday. Our butt cheeks soon became numb and I was practically sitting on D for the rest of the trip. It only made for more laughs and more memories.
I love you Aubrey, D, Erin, and Shay!
-Peace (and sisters).

Lauren thank you for that post, I laughed and smiled through the entire story. Yes we do have the best sisters and yes we all are each other’s best friends. (I just pray that little Sammie has a sister someday)
That night up at Strawberry Reservoir was one of the funniest nights I had had in a long time; a non-stop laughing, smiling, catching fish and craw-dads kind of night. Thank you for posting this memory for us, we can use this as black-male against Cameron someday.
Thank you for being such an amazing, loving, kind, fun, happy little-big sister. Little because you are younger than me, bigger because I look up to you and admire the women you have become. I love you.
That sounds so fun, and I no, I too cannot imagine a scream from Cameron, that would have been perfect on tape. Oh, and great shot of the girls!
Fishing sounds like a fun adventure, but I bet the best part was just making your memories together, wish I could have heard Camerons scream, sounds hilarious! And I'm not suprised you were both able to sit in the front seat, you are both still TINY! Bet it was quite the site though:)
I feel so blessed to have 5 daughters who love each other so much. I was always a little sad I didn't have a sister growing up when I saw the love you, Aubrey and D. have for each other. I like to think that if I had a sister, we would be as close as all of you. There are times, as I see how wise and mature you all are, that I feel more like a sister to each of you than a mom, because I learn so much from you. I really have the best of both worlds. I get to watch my girls loving each other, as mom's love to see their girls do, and I get to be a friend to each of you, just like a sister would be. Lucky me!
Lars, You are adorable! I love your love for your family!!
