My Girl

Is So Hott!

So I have had a lot of time on my hands since I finished my semester and am waiting to start my new job. Free flights here we come! With this time I have started to organize our second bedroom, a.k.a. Lauren's Closet, to prepare for the move in a few weeks. While I have been cleaning out bins, getting rid of old papers, and some trash, I have stumbled across a lot of Lauren's elementary school projects, letters from brothers, and "cute" pictures. Some of my favorite findings were of Lauren's 4th grade Journal and Poetry book.

"I am going to be Grapes for Halloween..." (After Halloween)... "It was fun being Grapes, next year maybe I can be Raisins :)"

" My best friend is Andy Bush Coil. He's my brother and I love to call him ABC because those are his initials. We have a secret sign."

"Tomorrow we are running the mile, it wont be too bad because it is at 9:00 am in the morning... My brother can run 4 miles in 18 minutes, he's on the track team! Go Mike!"

Awesome Poem... "Splish Splash, Splash Splish, Flip Flop, Flop Flip, Fish Swimming, Jump Fish, Fish Splashing..."

I also found some of her old High School notes to boys and to sister 'n' laws. They were interesting to read and to see who Lauren had a crush on. In addition to those notes I also found letters from her brothers and loved hearing how much they cared for her.

Looking through all of these memories and school work it made me think of how hard Lauren has worked her whole life to make something of herself. Well last Friday Lauren graduated with a Bachelors of Science, School of Secondary Health Education. (Probably not the official name) Lauren hasn't felt like she has accomplished much with graduating as a Secondary Health Teacher because she has not been able to find a job for next year...yet. I think she may feel like the last 4 years of school have been a waste and she could have been in another program, (talking to Lauren for a sec) but after watching you today, Lauren, I know that the last 4 years were not a waste. You did a wonderful job teaching even if you were nervous with me there. You are an awesome teacher and you have added a new achievement to your list of Life's achievements. Congratulations Lauren on graduating from college! You're awesome!

Can you take a guess at which shoe is hers?!

And Congratulations to my sister 'n' law Andrea and all of our friends who have also graduated. That is such an awesome accomplishment that not everyone can say they have achieved, and some of you are the first out of many generations to achieve that goal.

Really quick back to my girl! It wasn't only Lauren's graduation it was also our 2 year Anniversary. Because my girl only has 20- days left of this school year, I surprised her with a trip to Vegas that she desperately wanted to go on. I kept telling her we would stick around for the weekend, but I finally broke the surprise to her when I realized she needed a sub and couldn't just miss work. Here are some pictures from the vacation.

Oh and one more thing, since it has been two years we have been thinking a lot about our future and guess what? WE'RE NOT PREGNANT :)

Did you really think we would announce something like that on a blog..... hahaha

Lauren, congrats on graduating! I know the feeling, of wondering why you went to all that school when you can't find a good job or one you want, but I still think it is an amazing accomplishment and prepares you for life.
