Little Miss Carlee

So yesterday Beverly went to visit my mom, Andy, and Shay in Ohio. While there, my mom looked at some pictures Bev had on her camera from my wedding day. I love candid pictures, and I especially love this picture! Carlee, my niece, is holding my dress. She probably just noticed everyone carrying the train on my dress all day, so she decided she wanted to help too! She is one of the cutest little girls ever! Caleb and I had the chance to visit Andy, Shay, Porter, and Carlee in Ohio a few weeks ago, and we are still talking about how cute Carlee is. She has this little southern accent that cracks us up. Caleb and I are always trying to imitate her accent, but it just isn't the same. We love Car Car and miss her!

I also love this picture of Caleb tucking in Porter's shirt. My nieces and nephews absolutely love their Uncle Caleb, yes even more than their Aunt Lauren, which is A LOT! The first thing my nieces and nephews always ask me is, "Where's Caleb?" ... And Caleb loves them A LOT too! When my nieces and nephews are around, I sometimes feel like I am the last thing on his mind because he'll play with them for hours on end! At least I know he'll be the greatest dad in the world!

BYU Soccer Game + Blue Garbage Can!

The BYU Men's soccer season is coming to an end so Lauren and I decided to go see one last game and support Danny. Little did we know, BYU just happened to be playing Real Salt Lake, thus the stadium was PACKED! We showed up just a little before half time so we could get in for free. When we walked up to the entrance we saw that there were quite a few people waiting outside, so Lauren and I debated for a while on whether or not we should ask if they were letting people in for free. Lauren decided to go ask a girl at the ticket booth and was apparently irritating the ticket girl. Lauren asked the girl, "Are you guys letting people in for free after half time?" Very quickly and irritated the girl replied, "I don't know, nobody knows, you're just gonna have to wait and see." Lauren came back and told me about the incident and before she could even finish her story I saw the girl close her window looking in our direction, and the rest of the ticket ladies soon followed by closing their windows.

So Lauren and I walked into the game to find standing room only. We found our spot at the end of the field. We watched there for a while but Lauren insisted that there were better seats or a place where we could see the game better. So we left our spot and headed down to the other side of the field to only find out that 70 other people had the same thought patterns as we did. So we headed back to our original spot only to find several other spectators standing there watching the game. We decided to leave and on our way out we saw heads popping up behind the BYU Soccer Team's bench on the other side of the field, and decided to join them.

We left the stadium and went to the back side of the field. When we got there we saw everyone standing on blue folding chairs. We had no clue where they got them. We were looking around to see if we could find one but we couldn't see any left over. I was lucky enough to see over the fence by just simply standing. We saw others standing on trailers, but with no more room on those, Lauren got a little more creative. There were some blue garbage cans behind us and she grabbed one and brought it over. She was ready to watch the game. I stabilized the garbage can while she crawled up on it. At her first attempt she sat on her butt thinking that she would see just fine. She sat on her butt and whala! she was stairing straight into the fence. So she went to her second attempt along with her thought process of "I was too short sitting down so I should stand up!" So I stabilized the trash can again as she stood on top of it. WOW!! She went from staring at the fence sitting on her butt to seeing the players stare at a 12 foot girl towering over their fence. Lauren quickly got down after she realized she looked like Goliath's girlfriend. So I stabilized the blue garbage can one last time so that Lauren could find the perfect position on her knees.

Lauren was so happy and so comfortable with her new position watching the game that I had the chance to take this wonderful pose for next years family calendar! Gosh she looks beautiful!

Step Up 2!

Today after work like always, Caleb came and picked me up. On our way home he said he had a surprise for me. I was way excited and had no idea what his surprise could be. We stopped by Target and he made me wait in the car. When he came back to the car, he pulled out Step Up 2! I absolutely love this movie! I saw it at least three times in the theater. Twice with Caleb, and once with Jessie and Shay. Caleb and I first saw it on Valentine's Day with all of his friends. Good times, good times. Anyways, I am so lucky to have a husband who thinks of the little things in life and is always trying to make me happy! I didn't even realize the movie was coming out, but he definitely was paying attention so he could get a fun surprise for his wife!
